The floor in a marquee is very important to the final feel,
especially for events where most guests are standing rather than seated.
We have several different flooring options available.
Dandydura Matting
This is our most popular floor choice, it is not the same as the horrible
brown coconut matting which most companies use. Our Dandydura is a synthetic
material with a smooth surface and a tight weave so it is fine for high
heels. The mats also have a coloured fleck running through them which
acts as an optical illusion and means they look completely neutral when
down rather than brown!
Solid Flooring
We have a large stock of solid cassette flooring. Again this
is superior to the solid floor that a lot of companies use (most use a
"Weblok System" which just clips together) because we build
the solid floor first with alumnium extrusion and wooden floor boards
and then attach the marquee structure to this base. We can supply and
fit new event carpet to cover the floorboards or leave them as they are
for a more natural look.
Carpet on Grass
Some companies sugges this as their default option (because it is easiest
and cheapest for them usually) however we normally advise against it in
most circumstances because it needs a very flat lawn underneath it to
achieve a good finish. However, if you have this available then it can
look fantastic. This is usually something we can assess at a site visit.
